i'm look at this website and for my price range i can get a 1/4 0r a 1/3, i know the 1/3 is bigger but not by much. i don't want to get nothing just to get it though. i don't want to get something to small, how do you think 1/3 looks. is that good?

I think a half carat should be your minimum. Save up for a while longer and then get something nicer - they do last forever.

1/3 is small, maybe you should opt for a different gift if the size will matter to her......if the size does not matter to her then go for it. An alternative is her birthstone or even aquamarine, my husband bought me aquamarine earrings and I love them even though they are not my birthstone, I wear them everyday and have had people mistake them for diamonds on several occasions, the pale blue looks almost white. hmm...I'd go with a half caret...but, that's just me....I'll tell you though, 1/3 caret will be small...not so small that you can't see them, but small enough where they won't be the main piece...
