No. Because in today's society, they take the advantage of their rights to an extreme.

No, it's nobody's business what anybody does behind closed doors. Regardless of their sexual preferences. Unless it's the rapers or child molesters that are hiding behind closed doors ... then we should know about them. But as far as a normal couple gay or straight ... nope.

We don't "flaunt it". We want to be treated like every other human being on this planet. Or at least this country. The ability to be free. To make decisions in our lives as we see fit. The same rights that "straight" folk have in regards to who they love. It's not even a right ... it's a feeling that is undeniable.

We don't hurt anybody by "flaunting" ... do we? Are we hurting you? Is your relationship going downhill because I happen to be a man loving another man?

Like Wanda Sykes put it .... "If gay marriage bothers you so much, then don't marry a person of the same sex"

No, I do not believe that what any two consenting adults do sexually behind closed doors is the business of anyone else.

I don't know what you mean by 'flaunt it', but everybody has the right to express their sexuality and hold hands or be loving with their partners in public.

Indeed, everybody deserves all individual rights guaranteed to us in the Constitution- regardless of sexual orientation. Therefore, when they demand rights, they are oppressed individuals demanding rights they've been denied, not gay people demanding rights because they're gay.

I hope that makes sense.

No, there are worse things adults do sexually behind closed doors than engage in homosexual sex such as beastiality, sex with minors, rape, sexually assaulting or raping their spouse, child abuse, etc.
I do not flaunt my sexuality. Holding hands with your partner in public is not flaunting. People misconstrew flaunting. I am openly gay. When discussions at work arise about spouses and what they did over the weekend or the holidays, I engage in the discussion.
I dislike when people say that homosexuals would ruin the sanctity of marriage and have votes to define marriage. Homosexuals have nothing to do with the divorce rate, nor do they have anything to do with cheating spouses. Every individual has certain inalienable rights such as the right to be happy. History repeats itself. African Americans were persecuted and denied rights, women were denied the right to vote, Jews were persecuted in Germany big time, and now homosexuals are the object of hate. And is it not true that the body houses the soul and is merely a vessel. Why is it so wrong that the soul I love, my soulmate so to speak happens to be housed in the body of a woman? I merely seek the rights that are afforded heterosexuals such as medical insurance, the right to visit my lover in intensive care (only spouses and immediate family are allowed currently), survivor benefits for when I meet my demise, and the right to adopt as a couple. I alsowould like the right to walk down the street and not be pointed at or sneered at and to live in peace.

It's nobody's business what they are doing and it's nobody's business if they want to get married. If they want to marry the person that they love then who's business is it? Why do ppl spend so much time and effort trying to tell gays and lesbians what they do in their own homes is wrong? If they could just get married and live their life in peace then they wouldn't have to 'flaunt' their sexual preferences.

What 2 consenting adults either straight, bi or gay do behind closed doors are their business. Gays and lesbians flaunting it? sounds like you mean ALL...that is a wide generalization. Maybe the person that do "express" it in public are looked upon and ridiculed by others more then if they were straight. you see straights holding hands, hugging , kissing and expressing their affection for each other, why shouldn't Bi and gays?

Because even though what goes on behind closed doors is private, our relationships, which, contrary to popular belief, consist of far more than "what goes on behind closed doors, and are 100% as equally valid as any other relationship between consenting adults.
Offspring are not the sole reason for marriage, as a matter of fact there is no law requiring any sort of procreation or adoption to get married or remain married, and with that in mind we wish to partake of the exact same rights to protect and provide for OUR loved ones in the same manner "hets" do.

Here's a question for you. Why do Christains and homophobes flaunt that they don't like them and expect them to change because they feel what they believe is right?
Not all homosexuals "flaunt it" they choose to be open about it and ask for what they believe is right. They are people just like you and I, it shouldn't have to matter what who they love.
And why does it have to be based on what they do behind closed doors?

Before they have flaunted anything, they have had their private lives put for public bashing by the rest of humanity. You can only push a community too far before they start coming together to make their voices heard. Gay or not.
