I have to decide on who to start for the last game of our regular season. I am in 1st place with my starting lineup:Rothlesberger, Holt, Ward, Gore, Jackson, Crumpler, Tynes, Jags. Bench of Carr, Dunn, Chambers, R. McMichael, D. Henderson, and Cincinatti. If I win I get a bye week and the #1 seed. If I lose, I could drop down and actually have to play the first round.
Do I start Rothlesberger (He got me -2 points yesterday [sacks, turnovers -1 in my league] or go with Carr. I could pick up Cutler, but he's not proven. Also, Ward and Holt have been quiet lately, especially Holt. I think he has been a non factor in the last 4 games. Should I go with Henderson, if Colston can't go next week, Brees is moving the ball and Henderson has had a couple of 100 yard games this year. What WRs should I go with?

Whoever said that Ben might not play on Sunday is incorrect. There's been no talk of benching Roethlisberger for Chuck Batch. Now whether or not Ben gets hurt again is another story. If he keeps taking hits like he did last Sunday, its quite possible. Remember, Tampa Bay's D just allowed 5 TD passes by Romo this past weekend. You could take that as TB being that bad, or Dallas being that good. The Steelers are also much better at home than they are on the road this year.

That said, Hines Ward is out this week. He had his knee scoped Monday morning and wont play against the Bucs, leaving the Steelers with Cedrick Wilson, Santonio Holmes, Nate Washington, and Sean Morey as their WR's along with Heath Miller at TE...Hardly the talent that Dallas' WR's had against Tampa last week.

That said, as bad as the Raiders have been, they actually have a pretty strong D. They did a better job with the #1 rated SD offense than most, and have been playing well most of the year. But Carr probably has a little more to work with than Ben this week. You might want to look at Cutler, could be a crucial move.

Go with Henderson, bench Hines, keep Holt in there. I dont think you can count on a WHOLE lot regardless of what QB you stick in there. Hope it works out for you.

The Steelers have Tampa Bay coming into town. Traditionally a very good defensive (well, at least the last 6 years). This season they have been bad against the rush. I can't believe you are in 1st with bad Ben at QB. But, Houston is going on the road against Oakland, who despite a poor record have been playing teams tough. Carr doesn't throw a lot of picks but he also has only thrown 10 td's. The safe play would be Carr. I would play Henderson in place of Ward but only if Colston is out. If you watched that game Sunday, Brees likes to throw to Henderson. I wouldn't take out Holt because the Rams are playing Arizona and should be able to have some passing success. The rest of your lineup is very good.

Not an answer to your question as it shouldn't be answered this early in the week. You don't have all the info you need yet. Ask again wed/thur.......

But you always, always start your studs from the names you have on your team.

Frank Gore!!!!!!
Torry Holt... you don't bench this guy even if he didn't do anything
in the last month!

Just something to think about until thursday, Cutler is not a proven But... Denven and the running game is! And Javon Walker is a Stud wideout! So take a closer look at Cutler. Carr with his offense line, he leads the league in being sacked! Big Ben?? little question is will he be playing this weekend. Cower has been seen thinking. Pitt is not sure of who will start yet, so think about that. Hey... don't get ahead of yourself. Watch tonights game and listen might come up with some good info.

Frank C to soon in the week......

I would start Carr over Ben and bench Ward for Henderson if Colston doesnt play again. I have Carr starting this week because of past performances against this weeks opponent and I have Ward on my bench. Listen to me and get your bye week.

Sincerely 2 time champ 3 time runner up. In last 5 years.

If Holt and Ward have been quiet this time of year that means they could fire up at any time and by the way if you have a good match switch one of them but no matter what KEEP HOLT IN.

Play your normal lineup. Until this wk Hines and Ben had been hot, then played Balt on the road. Just a hiccup. Never bench Big Game. Henderson had 0 pts. wk 10

In the situation you're in, I would pick up Cutler in a second. I know he's not proven, but he's got the personnel and Carr would be my second choice. Big Ben is going to be the end of your team.
