log into your yahoo email account, then you should see your "blank" avatar image. simply click on it, and you can customize it.

It's a two step process
1) Create your avatar at http://avatars.yahoo.com/
2) Display your avatar on Answers
-on the Yahoo!Answers page,
select "My Q&A"
select "Edit My Info"
in the Picture section, select "Use My Yahoo Avatar"

go to avatars.yahoo.com and create yourself one from there, after that go back to yahoo answers and edit profile to use your avatar. Ü
