Isn't it obvious that Saddam's support of Al Qaida was non-existant or minimal at best? Wouldn't the United States have been much more safer if all this effort had been directed in Afghanistan to destroy the core leadership of Al Qaida?

It is obvious to anyone with at least 1/2 of a brain that Iraq is much worse now than it was before the US invaded. Of course, government officials will disagree, but I did say at least...
The US should have focused on Afghanistan and left Saddam and Iraq alone. Saddam was a monsterous leader but at least the people weren't killing each other in the street all day every day.

Well, I think that while they were under Saddam's rule, they had some stability at least! Right now, it seems like nothing but constant danger and chaos, and a lot of the citizens are left homeless!
