Cars can run on batteries, we all know this, so
what is going on? nobody stands up and DEMANDS answers, we just sit back and let things happen.
Why isn't this the lead story on every evening newscast everyday? It has everything they want , conspiracy, possible catistrophic global doom, money, greed and politics...this is criminal in my opinon and should be taken up in the highest levels of government.

because there are a number of issues that have to be resolved. First of all - electricity is an expensive source of energy as compared to gasoline. Next you have the performance issues that come with battery and hybrid cars. Also you have the reliability and life-expectancy issues of the batteries. (Pay $4,000 every four to five years to replace the batteries.)

And finally you have the cost vs. benefit ratio from the consumer's viewpoint. The fact of the matter is that the added expenses associated with a hybrid car are more than the cost of the gasoline you save with that car.

Demand what of who, exactly? Demand government mandate that all cars must be made to run on batteries only?

There's no conspiracy about it - nobody is stopping anybody from building battery-run cars. But there are a lot of economic, structural, capacity, capability, etc issues with such a thing.

What we need, really, is LESS government interference, not more.

The problem is that not all americans can afford to go out and buy a hybrid car.....they cost money and I know I can't afford that....also they don't have a truck yet and with the types of things I do, I can't go without my pickup....maybe someday though

The US Government has a prototype (probably many by now) that runs on water and has had for at least 25 years.

Hello,

Yes, we as a whole are scared or complacent. Take your pick.

Many Americans are "Sheeple" as Michael Savage says.

We are like lambs being led to the slaughter.

Sad, very sad.

This is why over 99% of Americans do not believe the September 11th Attacks were created by our own government and the secret societies our government officials are members of. Their eyes will remain closed until our country is under attack, yet again, by our own goverment.

FROG+BOILING WATER POT=BOILED FROG...................
