No one know for sure except your friends parents -- BUT -- I'd tell her they sound like a lot of parents do at different points in time -- my daughter asked us the same Q once after a bad stretch & no such thing could be further from ever happening

Don`t metion it to her, try to hang out with her, but don`t bring it up try and keep her mind off it as much as possible. Make her feel like it`s not even happening, she`ll soon accept that it`d prob be better this way. All you can do is keep being a good true friend to her, and always being there for her. Not to seem mean, but the whole world is like this these days, its like a normal thing for parents to be split up, it is a rarity to find a couple still together for beyond 20 years and not divorced. Good Luck

Her parents might just be going through some hard times right now. Marriage is hard work, and no two people can agree on everything all of the time. If your friend is afraid her parents are going to get a divorce, all she has to do is ask her parents. It might open their eyes, to see, how much they've been fighting and try to work things out in a better way.

Okay, people fight all the time and they still manage to stay together for whatever reasons. It doesn't necessarily mean that they'll end up in divorce. Maybe they're just stressed out over something.
