A lighter.. You can make a fire (contained of course) and signal for the search team.

A knife. I won't run out of bullets with the gun and the lighter offers little inthe way of defense and versatility

a lighter to see with because in all reality Im too scary to use the knife or the gun, I'l end up hurting myself knowing me...

Very broad question, too many unknowns.
Questions:
-Is it a wild forest known for predator animals?
-How big is the forest?
-What is the temperature?
My first answer for "my" type of forest is LIGHTER.
Because: It will help me make fire, which I cannot do otherwise, since my type of forest is very wet(rain forest).
Guns have limited number of bullets. Fire is something all animals are more or less afraid of. Fire helps me cook the meat that I will eat. I'll probably trap my food, but I don't know how I'll do it...

Depends on the country, but i think a knife is the best choice. You can make weapons with a knife, and if you have a hardcore army knife like i have, you have flint and can make fire.
