There's no one quote that fits all circumstances. Telling the survivor or even insinuating that the survivor should "move on" can make that person feel worse. The bereaved should have some time to grieve. Just ask him/her if there's anything you can do to help and give some suggestions: wash the car, cut the grass, pick up some groceries, etc. BTW, some ppl feel sad, years after a death, especially around Christmas time.

"It's better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all."
This is my favorite quote. It always inspires me to keep going after a downfall. Never regret falling in love because that, if nothing else, is why life is worth living.

First....try to get busy helping others....that will help to take your mind off the grief and feel good helping others and perhaps learn new things and meet new people.
Secondly...I have learned this over and over....and you might now see it right now...but it is sooooo true...that when one door closes...another door opens!
Thirdly...you will see them again....so keep that in mind and think of them as being on vacation...and you will see them again.

well my friends who died in the war always tell me a few things before they go, I fought along side with them too, so I guess it close to that "partner thing"
"Never grieve for those who's time has come"
"Live your life to honor those who have fallen, move on to never forget what they have done"
"take one step back in your life, I'll come looking for your a*s*s"
