I dont know why they would make it free... Thats lost revenu... But even if they didnt charge for it your still going to be spending much more on the games compared to xbox

as of now it is free. the ps3 has wifi which connects to ur router. for the 360 u can also pay yearly which is 50.00

from everything i've heard and read so far it's free just like it was for ps2. i don't know how good it's supposed to be and i'm not certain it will be able to stand up to xbox's 'live' system but it is free.

It will be free on most games but game makers can charge on games if they want. most games that they do charge are mmo's.
