YES this is completely NORMAL!! and you're husband is just as much a part of this as you are..so he should understand that women go through these MOOD SWINGS and he just has to let it in one ear and out the other!! He shouldn't take it personal..and if he's an honorable man then after your pregnancy I'm sure he'll sit back and laugh about it with you! Don't worry about your marriage being destroyed..just explain to him that this is normal and not to take it offensively...when I feel my mood swings coming on I tell my hubby to give me 10 minutes alone...and he knows to back off or he's gonna get an ear full about something stupid lol!! I'm sure once you explain this to him ...he'll be able to sense when one of your mood swings is coming on and he can either run the other way or sit and comfort you..dependin how bad your mood swing may be! I know when I'm in the crying phase I love when my hubby just sits there and holds me..makes me feel better and safe..instead of like some hormonal nut! LOL GOOD LUCK HOPE I HELPED!!

YES, its crazy. I am having my 4th and I can cry at the drop of a hat, and I get sooo irritated with my kids and husband. At the same time I dont want to be like that, but cant help it. Your husband has to understand that this is normal. Let him read about it and try to understand. My husband thank goodness understands now. With the first it was a little harder because we were both new to it. But now, He will either leave it alone, or give me a hug, which will help me. I dont know what to tell you about way to not be so emotional. I havent figured it out yet. Its just something that happens. Hormones go crazy.

When I was pregnant with my first child I got a journal and I would write down all the things that my husband did that made me so mad or just whatever I was feeling. It gave me a chance to vent my anger and "talk" out the problems. I was able to then spend time with my husband and not hold on to the things that he would do that would make me mad. I still write in the journal when I need to vent.
You need to remember that your body is going through something that has never happened before and that your hormone levels are increasing daily. Just remember that it is the hormone and it won't always be this way.
Talk to your husband and explain that many times when you are upset it is just your hormones and that no matter what you love him and this should keep him from feeling rejected by you. Good luck!!!

Yes, it is SO normal! I was just like that, my husband and I nearly did break up over me being that way. My doctor recommended some therapy and then we went to couples therapy. It helped to make him understand what I was going through and it gave me someone to vent to who held no judgements or comments besides it was going to be okay. Pregnant women are NOT crazy, but I know therapy worked for me! We finally had our daughter and brought her home (and a peaceful one at that)!! Just a thought though! I know a couple women to went on some mood stabilizers during pregnancy too from our birthing class. You really are not alone! Try getting into a support group, or finding a birthing class to start (the friends you make are GREAT). GOOD LUCK!

Hun, this is because of your pregnancy, and theres not to much you can do about it. Your hormones are all over the place. If I were you I would go get some books like 'what to expect when your expecting' and let him read some of it, especially the parts about the emotions. He needs to understand that you don't want to or mean to be like that and that he needs to be there for you. Right now you need his love and support and he just needs to say yes dear and move on right now and not take it to heart if you freak out at him.
Good Luck!

This is from a males perspective. My wife and I have four children. Does pregnancy make women hyper emotional...YES.
That being said it is perfectly natural and you have every right to be emotional. Everyone around you should be supportive and understanding of what you are going through. It is normal for you to feel abnormal when you are pregnant (or so I have been told).

Yes, it does make you very emotional.
In a calm, rational moment, take some time to explain what's going on with your husband. If he's as understanding as mine, you don't need to worry about your marriage. It also helps if he talks to the doctors and other husbands who "survived" pregnancy.
The emotions will calm down once you're well into your 2nd trimester. Be patient. If you're looking for a way to consciously control them, take a deep breath the next time you feel yourself about to explode and ask yourself why you're feeling so strongly. This will likely calm you down.

Yes you get that emotional. The best thing to do is to keep the communication lines open, give him some of your information to read and maybe that will help him understnd what you are going through. Also remember he maybe going through emotional changes also. If you believe in God pray and ask for guidence through this time.

Yeah i know what you mean, Being really emotional is one thing we have to look forward to. I am just like you. The only advise i can give you is to have him research waht you are going through, or print things out so he can read up waht is going on with you at this time. Go to this website, and it will make both of you feel so much joy. Congrats and hang in there. it will all be ok. www.ehd.org

Hey! I'm 12 weeks with my first one too... Today I cried for about 10 minutes because of a song on the radio.
I'm just trying my best to laugh at myself when my emotions overflow. I know in my mind it will pass...
