ball pythons are solid small snakes averging 3-4 feet king and corn snakes are are very person-friendly and common to shelter that consume bugs besides as rodents. garter snakes choose fish and frogs yet will consume bugs and small rodents maximum snakes will consume frozen nutrients, yet some won't and a few will purely consume stay nutrients so take this into cosideration until eventually now you purchase any snake carry out a little rearch on them and discover out what variety would be best for you.

many years ago i got my daughter a garter snake, when i fancied a lie in, she would come into my bedroom and put the snake on my back, that got my up like a shot. anyway one day she came in saying mum the snakes biting me, opening one eye i saw the snake, jaws wrapped round her knuckle, fangs piercing the skin,, well those were the days when i slept in the buff,, so theres me, up screaming, shouting to my son" get me an axe". my daughter running down the stairs, me chasing her, and her screaming and crying , " don't kill my snake". anyway the snake lived. got it of by plunging it in the bath. 13 year old son got an eyeful, he thought it was hilarious and couldn't stop laughing. the snaked died a few weeks later. not sure if it was the plunge in a bath of cold water or my daughter poisoned it when it bit her. lol
