Try using ice. This should make the gum brittle and easy to take off.
Good Luck!

I usually use an ice cube. This makes the gum cold so that it will be stiff enough to be pulled from the jeans. Once you have gotten most of the gum off this way, soak a rag in mineral spirits and remove the rest of the gum residue. Since there will be mineral spirits left in the jean fabric, apply some liquid laundry detergent to the area and then wash the jeans. I have removed gum this way at least three or four times without damage. If you are unsure, you can take an old pair and practice on them.

I have always been told that if you take an ice cube and hold it on your jeans where the gum is that it will get hard and you can scrape it off. Another method of removing gum is with peanut butter. I have never tried either way so please don't hold me to that.

I was able to remove gum from my jeans by using a couple of pieces of duct tape. I pressed it on the gum stain and pulled it off with two swipes.

STEP 1: Harden the gum by rubbing it with a cube of ice. STEP 2: Scrape off what you can with a dull-bladed butter knife. STEP 3: Rub the area with a pre-treatment enzyme product or liquid laundry detergent. STEP 4: Launder as usual.
The key is to remove as much of the gum as possible in step 2.

Take ice and put it in the inner part of your jeans where the gum is, not on the gum because what you need is to freeze so muchthe part that is stuck so it gets hard and looses its sticky properties.

Take some ice and put on top of the gum. Let the gum get good and cold and you should be able to scrap it right off. Good luck.

Ice in the beginning, the peanut butter, then pre-treat and wash in warm water (alone!) Repeat the second and third steps if necessary....do not dry until gum is gone!!
