I just got home from getting my brows waxed. The same woman has waxed my brows for years, but I guess I got her to talking and she didn't think about the fact that I only wax one little strip. She waxed a lot off. I have very thick coarse brows and now they are swolled and red. I have class in 3 hours. How do I get the swelling and redness down??

Well, I can't skip class tonight! Too close to finals. And, I don't have bangs, but it seems to be going down a little. My brows look okay, its just the swelling. I'll try the ice. Thanks everyone!

mix some asprin and cold water . apply as a compress. wait about 15 minutes. redness and swelling gone.

i do A LOT of waxing in my profession. i even have clients who travel over 800 miles to have their coochies waxed by me. (because i treat them right by applying this mixture directly after waxing)

Apply some ice wrapped in a cloth to your brows to reduce the swelling. As much as you might want to, don't apply makeup to the area until the swelling goes down, to lessen the irritation in the area. It'll go down soon. Hang in there!

Put an ice pack on them... and don't cover the red with makeup. Later if you decide she waxed wayy to much get an eyebrow pencil and you can draw some in till is grows back.

Try some ice for the swelling and redness. Try covering with some makeup or if you have bangs pull them down. Lots of luck.

rubbing alcohol takes down the puffyness and causes the skin to relax and be more calm, and a little bit of white eyeshadow will make the redness more suddle, maybe u can think of taken that class off, the redness wil go with time; byebye : )

wash your face. moisturize, and put a cold pack on them. do NOT put makeup on the redness unless it's an emergency! this happened to me once and i put concealor on them, then i got little bumps all over the bare spot. worse case scenario you can fill them in with a powder shadow close you your hair color until they grow in. the cold pack should calm the redness though.
