You would be paralyzed to act if you must always know why. It is a great question, but is also unanswerable at times. The answer of why changes over time based on human knowledge, and arguably, spiritual enlightenment.

As long as one can piece together the "rest of the story", "why" really doesn't matter....Sometimes, it is something we'll never know...... If there is motive, then all the answers are pretty much in place......... A judge needs nothing more....Yet, the "story" can still be ascertained without one piece of evidence...
"Why", in itself, is motive..... You may never know why?.....

YES!!! that is one of humanities best qualities, the ability to ask why!!! Some things yes we will never know, like what happens to us when we die, always question yourself and your surroundings.
