I was a friend first, then thought I was becoming a boarder, thinking I could find work. I haven't found anything and what i have found doesn't pay. I have tried to leave but this person won't let me go, and I am afraid of losing my things. I love another person who doesn't talk to me although I know he still harbours feelings for me. What do I do??

Ok...So it sounds like you took the "free lunch". There are some people who do give things without strings attached but if its a guy giving free rent to a girl then usually he will want what you have to give. The guy probably thought it was a dead certainty deal, that you would give it up, especially knowing you had no money.... Are you sure you didnt play this guy knowing he had an intrest in you. Look, you know the only right thing to do is LEAVE. He might not want you to to go but just go when he is at work..Its not that hard to do. I was in a similar situation once and i took the free lunch, infact ive done it more than once and i always knew in my heart that I wasnt being a cool person doing it, and everytime the other person wont say you owe them anything but inside they always expect something in return. Its always better to pay up front, then you wont have these problems in the future. As for the guy you do love, just talk to him, cmon, how easy is that, especially if you know he is into you. Seize the day. One more thing if you have money you should give it to the guy your staying with or leave something with him that he can pawn, if you dont pay him back he will always be on your case for oweing him.

What do you mean he "won't let you go?" You as person have the choice to go or stay anywhere you like. If it got so much as he physically wouldn't let you go get the police involved. Remember your things are just materials and more than likely can be retreived later in court. You are lucky to have another love and he will be great support to you. This will be a battle worth fighting.

You should not let anyone stand in your way of success or happiness. Don't let anyone pressure you into doing something that you would have normally done. Stand firm, but most of all keep your self safe. If you have friends talk to them and between you and your friends I'm sure you could come up with a solution.

What you do is be the adult and express your feelings. If you don't want to be there - leave. Gather your things and go. Personally, I don't understand the debate, ESPECIALLY when you have feelings for someone else. "Won't let me go"...
Help me understand how that is possible.

send your most valuable things somewhere else
disconnect from the rest of them
then move, wherever and however you can, ASAP
If the person is physically trying to stop you, call the cops and or buy a weapon.

Move your things out while he is at work. No one should not allow you to leave if that is what you want to do.

never give in to pressure.
always go with your gut feeling.
if you do not want to stay, leave.
unless you are absolutly needed by them to stay (sick, injured exc.)
don't, however bank on moving in w/ the person you love right away.
