They feel that dropouts make them look bad. They feel that dropouts are people that dont work hard or dont try. Teachers simply view them as failures. When in all reality people have many different reasons for dropping out of school and shouldn't be frowned upon. I think that teachers just feel that dropouts make them look bad, so they dont respect dropouts for that reason. If teachers are acting snobby to your or someone you know that dropped out, just turn the other cheek and realize that they might not understand what your/ your friends reasons are.

School teachers, in general, are always going to be ruder towards those who drop out because they are not fulfilling their abilities. The same goes for those who are lazy.

They aren't the only ones who don't respect dropouts, by the way. Try employers.

I have never met any snobby teachers. I think they pity drop outs and if the drop out is a former student of theirs, they may feel like they failed them in some way.

School teachers have to deal with kids 7 hours a day, I guess that is enough to make anyone a crank.
