I have my teddy, who is now 42 and he has a bell in each ear. He's so worn out now that I don't know his origin either, but that doesn't matter because he's Teddy Bear and I wouldn't part with him for anything. I'm sorry to hear your bear died. Tragic!

Steiff bears and animals have buttons in their ears, not bells...
Try searching ebay, use search words like bear bell ear and check the description box. You might find your Teddy again. I had one (about the same age) with a bell in his belly. I don't know who made mine either.

This is a steif bear only steif but bells in the bears ears german in origin :)

lots of teddies hae bells in their ears. I have 3 of varying ages.
