I think ticket is right, if it is above the roof its not a big urgent thing but it should be repaired sometime. The good thing is that if its that high up, it can easily be replaced. If it is not above the roof it should be replaced or patched up right away.

That's just a facade to make it look pretty on the inside of the house, and has nothing to do with the flue.
