OMG...yes!! When I was pregnant, I'd fall asleep eventually, then *PING* I'd be up at like 3 or 4 a.m. for the rest of the day. It drove me crazy! Unfortunatly, I don't have any good remedies for you, but I hope it makes you feel a little better knowing you're not alone. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!

Try to get some exercise during the day to make you physically tired. If you sufficiently tire yourself out, you should resume sleeping.
I've had insomnia on and off my entire life, so I can tell you what's worked for me in addition to exercise. (By the way, since I've been exercising, I haven't had any insomnia).
A few things you can try, which worked for me - a big meal at night, no liquids within 1.5 hours of going to bed, spooning with my husband, no intense, action or thriller movies/tv shows after dark, a warm bath or shower before bed, running a fan or other white noise device.
Any number of these might work for you, or none at all. I hope something works, but definitely try the exercise before anything else. Good luck!

OH MAN i feel for you girl im having the same problem i have sleep apnea which means that i have the worst time sleeping and when i finally fall asleep i stop breathing for like around 8 seconds. so what you need to do is go to the hospital and ask them because you may have a sleeping disorder caused by pregnancy. Usually they give you a special perscription and they give you a medicine.. oor you could go to a library and get a new book than sniff it in for a while when your in bed thats how i usually fall asleep have a nice day! I feel for you.... I had this problem my first trimester too. I never had morning sickness or anything... but I had insomnia. I would walk in the evenings, and make sure that I didnt' eat a big meal too late. Also my dr. told me that if I was extrememly exhausted to take a benadryl at night so i could get some sleep.

I have had five kids and not being able to sleep at night at 9 weeks was never an issue. Are you stressed out or something? If you can't sleep at night try napping during the day. Doesn't sound normal to me. Try talking to your Dr.

Not much you can take to make you fall asleep. Try a little exercise before dinner, that may help. Or some deep breathing and relaxation techniques. It may just be your hormones working overtime right now. Hopefully, it will go away soon. And be happy it's not morning sickness! that stinks too.
Good luck!

I would try taking a nice luke warm bath...then try to sit back on the couch wrapped up in a nice warm blanket and drink a nice cup of decaf tea...try doing this about 2 hours or so before you would normally go to bed..this will give your body ample time to relax..if that doesn't work..put something really boring on tv to watch and in no time you'll be out lol!! GOOD LUCK!!

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

relaxation. start relaxing early in the night, lay on the couch or in a recliner and just let your body relax, then go to bed. Or get comfy in bed and watch tv or read a book in there until you fall asleep.
