The car runs fine once started. the problem does not occur all the time but every other start. It seems to have good fuel pressure all the tome about 50-55 lbs.

yes that fuel pressure seems alright.has it happened enough for the on boardcomputer to store a code?

check the fuel lines and hoses.just because their on there, doesnt mean they are not sucking air at times

you have good fuel pressure so the next thing i would do is check the fire and injectors if you get weak fire it will sometimes be hard to start and run fine once i does start

check you fuel pressure regualtor, i sell severall of them and they cause a long crank to start

You've got one of two things a flaky sensor somewhere or a flaky CPU.
