Some foundation will actually cause the skin to dry out and peal. What you need to do is to wear an moisturizer with SPF in it. You can also find some foundations with moisturizers in them along with SPF's . If at all possible use both these products at the same time. If you can't find this type of foundation then just put your facial moisturizer and SPF on first. Keep moisturizing throughout the day also.

You need to use a moisturizer first then put on a moisturizing foundation that has a sunscreen of SPF 15, at least. Try and find a gentle foundation that does not contain any fragrance or perfume since that aggitates the skin and dries it out. Also, do not use powder!!! It will dry out your skin for sure.
Try using a foundation from Origins. I have extremely sensitive skin and exzema. This is the only foundation I can use!

Look on your foundation to make sure that it is a moisturizing foundation. Neutrogena makes one, and I believe Origins has a foundation that will protect dry skin from the elements. You can go to the department store and check with the makeup consultants there. They are very knowledgeable about their lines of products.

Its a barrier at least from uv rays and can keep some moisture in your skin. I believe foundation if you find one that works for your skin is a good layer of protection as opposed to naked skin. Look at the skin of women who have never worn makeup.

it might, one thing that will help with drying of the skin in the cold is moisturizing. Clinique has a really good facial moisturizer that should be used with facial soap, and facial cleanser lotion, and then the moisturizer. But moisturization is key during winter - hope that helped

It can help if your foundation is creamy and hydrating, not mattifying, which will worsen your condition. Use your moisturizing foundation with a rich face cream underneath and you'll be fine :)

if the foundation contains a moisturizer and a sunscreen it should help; if trouble persists you could also use a moisturizer under the foundation (or on trouble spots) as well; try ww.jafra.com
