well my mother-in-law asked for purfume for christmas... she didnt say what brand, all she said is she wants something that smells like vanilla.... do you know any purfume (in canada) that smells like vanilla? but I dont want something that smells too strong or anything like that.. can you help me?

Amber Romance from Victoria's Secret is classy and fresh smelling, not sickly sweet like a lot of vanilla perfumes (even the Vanilla Lace from Victoria's Secret isn't all that great) but is still warm, with definite notes of vanilla.

You can select the base notes (like vanilla in your case), and it'll display a bunch of perfume brands/names that contain it (a lot actually)...even if they don't necessarily sell them; then you can use their "translation" into fragrances they DO sell if you want to purchase directly from them.

Sand and Sable. I love it...vanilla with a little bit of buttercream and spice. Its nice with a light scent.

christian dior makes hypnotic poison which is a lovely vanilla scent. it is a little heavy though. if you want something lighter, try stila creme bouquet. it is very clean and light with vanilla notes. they are my two favorite scents of all time, and i am the biggest vanilla fan.

i know one called princess, but i am not sure if it smells like vanilla, but is very popular, that what i gave my girlfriend and she loved it.
