Being of a certain lineage is NOT a handicap. These sites are about famous actors of Mexican, Spanish, Puerto Rican descent among others. Now, there is America Ferrero of the Ugly Betty TV series, who is a rising star.

Well first off, what does being Mexican have to do with this question? Am I to understand that Mexicans are at a handicap when it comes to acting?

Anyways, to answer the pertinent point to your question, if she's really serious about acting (I mean serious, not like "O M'God, I'm like soooo into acting today!") she will want to get into acting school, or participate in local drama clubs. There is no audition lineup for movies. She will have to get an agent who who arrange for movie role auditions. She may get lucky if she has a certain look or talent that producers need for a certain role, but aside from that she will have to work for it.

Good luck to you.

Like anyone else, your friend should taking acting classes for the next 10 or 12 years. After that, she can audition for plays in the city where she lives.

After a few years of performing in plays. She is not ready to audition for movies. Start with plays and slowly develop acting skills that will give her experience to audition for movies.

Acting is a very long and slow process. She must be prepared to spend many years of studying the craft of acting.

Find out if yor high school has drama classes, and your friend should take them...then go to college and study acting there. Once she's done that she can audition for various people to be in stage plays or film.
