I am going to langkawi with another friend of mine just for a short getaway (3D2N). What are the places that you would recommend me to go? (we wanna sun tan and chill) Also, are there any ATMs in langkawi??? =D thanks

Langkawi is a good place for R&R. You can always hang around at your hotel's pirvite beach or join some of the water sport (water ski, wake boarding, fishing trip, para sailing & etc...) you can get the info from te net.
You can take a cable car ride to go up to the Mount Mat Chinchang....great view and a great place to take photos (must go).
ATM machines available at the Langkawi Airport, Ferry Terminal, Kuah Town and Telaga Harbour only.

Why Langkawi? For a beach-y breakaway? I recommend Burau Bay, Porto Malai and Tanjung Rhu. There are still ATMs in Langkawi. The main concern is more on food - they'll be more expensive compared to any other parts of Malaysia (except Genting Highlands).

Just stay at the Reddisson Resort Tanjung Rhu. They will let you know about the must-see places in Langkawi.

don't use credit card in langkawi, they must copy your card details
in in front you without you knowing it.
Me and my wife was targeted , and how many more we don't know.
It not a safe tourist resort.
