Amnesty International ensure that people are reminded of the teribble effects of complacency by the populace of a nation and of the globe.
It is esential that people are aware of the atrocities that occur around the globe and one of the worst is to be persecuted for ones thoughts or belifes.
By reminding people of what is going on it enpowers us to speak out against those who are doing the persecuting. Both in developing nations and the West.
Finally in many cases their campains are sucsessfull ensuring that wrongly imprisoned people are released!
