OK, if you don't want a baby right now, why on earth aren't you using any contraception?!?
To be honest, back pains, irregular bleeding and tiredness sound more like a sexually transmitted infection than pregnancy. I think that you should see your GP and get checked out. It would be pretty easy for you to contract an STI if you regularly have sex without a condom (especially if he had sex with anyone else before you got back together).
As for the fertility question, I can't tell, because you don't say how long you've been having regular unprotected sex ... it can take up to a year for a fertile couple who are trying for a baby to conceive.
However, untreated gynaecological infections can lead to fertility problems later in life, so that's another reasons to be examined by a GP. Oh, and while you're there - why not get the contraception situation sorted out??

if you are having unprotected sex regularly--you are trying to have a baby. getting pregnant and having a child is a huge deal, if you are not ready to commit to 9 mo of pregnancy and 18 years of child rearing you need to go on birth control. you can use condoms, the pill, the patch--whatever. if you are having unprotected sex with someone you need to make sure they are hiv negative by taking him and yourself down to a clinic and getting tested.
you can buy a pregnancy test at the drugstore and find out if you are pregnant. if the bleeding is unusual for you tell your doctor that you have been having unprotected sex and may be pregnant. he can do a pregnancy test and check to see if you are actively having a miscarriage.
you could definately be pregnant and still have a 'period'--although it is just vaginal bleeding and not a real period.
just because you have not gotten pregnant yet does not mean you are infertile--just lucky!

Sounds like you really want a baby, otherwise why ask this and why not use some form of contraception even if its only avoiding your most fertile days?
If your period is normally regular, then I would see the doctor about this bleeding as soon as you can.

Your "period" could actually be implantation bleeding. If your "normal" period doesn't come on schedule, take a pregnancy test. The only reason I wouldn't test now is because it might be too early and you could get a false negative result.

First back pains and feeling tied are normal. but would say go get a check up to put your mind at rest but doesn't sound any different to mine. Lots of things can change your period. diet. the way you feel and believe it or not the weather, moon, season, but get checked out to be total safe.
