Possible detached retina, go see the optometrist/surgeon immediately while they can still reattach the retina (if that is the case) - if you wait too long, you will be permanently blind in that eye.
My pastor had a detached retina - the one eye went from a black spot in his vision to total blindness in a couple weeks, and the blindness was sudden. The doctor was able to save his sight because he went to the surgeon right away. That eye is pretty normal now.

I'm not a Dr, but I have plenty of medical experience, My husband had numerous strokes as my mother in law who recently had a stroke, and saw black spots, went numb, lost speech. everything came back except the sight on left side. However, my husband regained his eyesight, but it was a stroke in both cases. Immediately go to your Dr or er if you want to regain your sight. my mother in law waited to long and it's been a few weeks, still blind in one eye. don't be afraid, it's your life. good luck and your in my prayers

This could possible be an effect of diabetes, if you have diabetes and do not knoe that you do. It could be a tumor, maybe a build up of fuild in the back of the eye. It could be a lot of possillities but the longer you linger to see a doctor the lost can be irreversable.

You should go to the emergency room immediately. This could be anything, but is especially worrisome because you hand no signs prior to the numbness. It could be a sign of a stroke or TIA (transient ischemic attack), or other significant cardiovascular problems.
Please do not treat this conservatively and wait/hope for your vision to be restored.
I sincerely hope everything works out for you.

better get to a doctor, might be a worse problem than just an eye not working, eye not working might just be a side effect of another problem.

This happened to my husband, and it was a torn retina. See an Ophthalmologist immediately. He had surgery and his sight was restored. But it has to be done ASAP.

You need to call your doctor ASAP. It could be any number of things, including a stroke, blood clot, tumor, or detached retina, all of which are very serious, but treatable. Please go call your doctor right now.
