An accidental launch by Russian ICBMs, based on their aging early warning systems that thought NATO or the US launched against them. Once a single missile is launched, the 'launch on warning' hair triggers from the US and NATO will retaliate.
A full scale nuclear exchange will plunge the northern hemisphere into prolonged agony and barbarity, with a minimum of 1.1 billion killed in the first 30 minutes of an attack. Another 1 billion will die soon after from radiation poisoning.
The ensuing nuclear winter will eliminate 95% of the remaining people, those that survive will be in deep silos or isolated canyons/islands with sustainable food supplies.... All others are doomed.

i dont i just wait patiently and truthfully cant wait for it to happen. I t will be the best thing that will ever happen to todays humans. Nature will take the spot light and every one will be confused, and I'll sit back and laugh at the confusion and chaos and wait for my little vacation.
