Gemini and Virgo

Both are Mercury ruled and have a mental approach to life. But similarity ends there; these two are star-crossed from the beginning.

Virgo considers Gemini scatterbrained and immature. Gemini thinks of Virgo as a stick-in-the-mud and a bore. Virgo's analytical approach seems like indifference to Gemini. Virgo looks on Gemini's busy social life as superficial and a waste of time.

Virgo is critical; Gemini is tactless. Passions run on a low thermostat; their sex life soon turns chilly.

Gemini's eye is certain to rove.

Gemini Woman & Virgo Man
This match has hardly any hopes for working out. You have a very intellectual approach to life. So does Virgo. Put you both together and you have two people with intellectual approaches to life. Does that sound exciting? It’s not! Even worse, the Virgo boy will have a totally different intellectual outlook on life than you do, meaning you’ll spend most of your time together arguing. You won’t even be able to distract yourself by fooling around, because the physical chemistry between you is just about non-existent. A bad match!

Gemini girl and Virgo guy share an almost unspoken understanding of each other's opinions, thoughts and feelings about the world, which can be both refreshing and inspiring. On the flip side, this mutual 'knowingness' can also be the source of annoyance, on both sides.

The best way to keep this match thrilling and wonderful is to practice the art of total honesty, and to respect each other's need for occasional alone time.

At first glance, a Virgo/Gemini pairing may not seem like a good match. But romance could be in the stars if they take the time to truly learn about one another. Detail oriented Virgo may seem too stuffy for playful Gemini, but both signs have much to give to the other. Virgo can help Gemini find solutions to problems and teach Gemini the art of concentration, while bubbly Gemini can help bring some fun and excitement into Virgo’s routine life. If Gemini learns to focus and Virgo can chill out, these two are bound to discover wonderful new things not only about the other, but about themselves as well.

It's not supposed to be a great match. Earth signs (Virgo, Taurus and Capricorn) and supposed to get on best with Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces). Air Signs like Gemini (Aquarius and Libra) get on best with Fire signs (Leo, Sagitarius and Aries).

The theory is that earth and water complement each other (live together peaceably), whereas fire and air fuel each other (fire needs air to thrive).

Mind you, most Virgo's I know don't fit their mold, if you're an exciting Virgo you may have a chance

"Virgo + Gemini

Earth + Air = Dust

It’s a funny thing, but even though both of you are ruled by the same planet, Mercury, there are still some very basic but important differences between your star signs. You’ll both sense that you are similar in many ways, but Gemini is not quite as driven by a love of detail and perfection as you.
Gemini has a broad view of things, and finds it hard to get down to the nuts and bolts. They skim the surface, and don’t dive into the detail the way you do. Maybe someone has to change! Perhaps Gemini has to increase their mental focus, or you have to speed up your metabolism and not expect as much deep discussion.
You tend to satisfy the domestic and family needs of Gemini. You give them a safe haven from which to jump into their many activities. You will make them feel anchored, and that they have security and financial stability. Their dual personality means they lack this in themselves, and need to look to someone else to provide it.
There are some other positives connecting you two. Gemini loves light-hearted discussion and humour. They will make you laugh, but only if you let down your guard. You are often a bit too serious, and Gemini will help you break this pattern. If they can do this gently, without offence, you’ll learn to relax and enjoy life more.
In the bedroom, you tend to be conservative — sombre Saturn rules your sexual affairs. Gemini, ruled by Venus, is more sensual and playful. This is probably not going to go down in history as the greatest sexual match, but give it a go. As they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Geminis born between 22 May and 1 June are well suited to you as romantic companions. They’ll give you incredibly stimulating conversation and lots of humour. You may also work well with them.
Geminis born between 2 June and 12 June are co-ruled by Venus and Libra: your relationship with them has a material foundation, really. Although money seems to be the name of the game for the two of you, there will also be moments of pleasure in this combination.
Connecting with a Gemini born between 13 June and 21 June means dealing with the complex challenges that Aquarius, their co-ruler, promises. If you’re prepared to hang in there, this combination will bring you fulfilment, but be prepared for some surprises — good and not so good."

Ok.

STOP!

Firstly: You cannot base your understanding of people purely on their star sign...this will only give you the tip of their iceberg and is very generalised...get him to take a personality test (temperament sorter) find out his chinese horoscope sign...even better - just ask HIM! As far as I understand Virgo men - they love to listen - just don't shout as us Gemini's have a tendency to do...

Secondly: Stop giving the Gemini's a bad rap please...I am fiercely loyal and commit to those who are worthy of my commitment...don't confuse my need to be independent as infidelity and my flirtatiouns are merely political...Gemini's are politicians! We love to work a room - it is a sport to us...most importantly - if you feel wronged by a Gemini - just say so! We are not always aware of others when we are in our element - it's high up here! And we are not all crazy - there are plenty of us who are silent and thoughtful and perceptive...insightful even!!! My best skill is my ability to empathise - my career is based on it!

I find Virgo's fascinating, hilarious and profound and of all the star signs I have ever known - I feel they understand me most - they may not like me but they understand...and they ultimately accept...and no - I do not think the men of this sign are girly - especially when they have such a need to protect and heal...come ooon...how much more Manly do you need?

But seriously - that's all for fun at the end of the day - see him as an individual not a star sign and see yourself as one...and be your own best friend - stop allowing others to break your spirit!!!

I don't know about love compatibility , but a friendship level I can tell you Libra guys are AWESOME . Gemini women and Libra men just naturally "click" I have 2 libra brothers , libra sister and 1 libra bestfriend (guy) but I know many more . One thing I can say , I don't know if it's just me but Libra females are just a little too off brand lol I can never really connect with them and they seem really boring ! They are sneaky , gossip and extremely quiet but not quiet if you get what I mean . Btw I would NEVER date a libra male if I were you !!!! They're natural flirts , ladies men , charming & they move on fairly quickly like us Geminis , I'm guessing it's an "Air Sign" thing . Libras are whores It's weird because they make great LOYAL friends . I love how you can always be honest with libra men , and how arguments with them turn into laughter within minutes . They're really cool guys , but again I would never date one and I tell this to ALLLLL libra males including my brothers .

When Gemini and Virgo come together, they both need to take time to learn about the other's approach to life and love. Both partners' attitude is worth understanding! Gemini's Symbol is the Twins; Geminis can often be of two minds about things. If Virgo can give one Twin a strong emotional anchor while allowing the other Twin to flit about, this relationship may stand the test of time. Early in the relationship, Virgo may take things a little too earnestly for Gemini, but if Virgo can wait a while, both Twins will learn to adapt to the relationship.
Virgo and Gemini have different approaches to life; Virgo is more sedate and practical and Gemini is intellectual. It can be hard for Gemini to accept the down to earth, utilitarian approach of Virgo. It might be hard for Virgo to accept Gemini's flightiness and occasional lack of practicality. Virgo can help Gemini to be more involved in life and to see the depth of ideas rather than simply the surface. Gemini can help Virgo add variety and fun, bringing new excitement into their lives.

Both signs are ruled by the Planet Mercury. Gemini is the masculine aspect of Mercury while Virgo the feminine. Mercury is the ruler of communication, and is androgynous -- Gemini will quickly take on the form that it chooses while Virgo may want to observe the situation a little while longer . Virgo wants a dependable partner and will take the time to work toward forming the perfect relationship. Gemini has a more intellectual approach, but is good at relating to other people; they can learn to give Virgo the steadiness that Virgo wants.

Virgo is an Earth Sign and Gemini is an Air Sign. Gemini moves through life through pure thought, while Virgo is more practical. Virgo asks, how will this help me achieve my goals in life? while Gemini simply finds the object of interest at the moment without having a set plan in mind. Conflicts can arise in this relationship if Virgo is too critical or Gemini is too distant or detached. Both need to learn they view the world in different ways. Virgo can be too fussy for Gemini's taste, but Gemini may be too capricious for their Virgoan partner. As long as Virgo understands that Gemini's flirtatious nature does not affect their feelings toward the relationship, things will be OK!

Virgo and Gemini are both Mutable Signs. Virgo tends to be practical and focused on one thing at a time, but Gemini likes to move from one thing to another as the feeling takes them. Virgo needs to give Gemini the freedom to enjoy life as it comes and not be too critical if the relationship is not perfect. Virgo can take Gemini's ideas and produce something even if Gemini has moved on. Together, Gemini and Virgo can show each other that flexibility binds their interests.

The best aspect of the Gemini-Virgo relationship is the security they can give each other once Virgo allows Gemini to willingly commit to the relationship. Both partners can learn to look at the world through new eyes when they open themselves to each other. As long as they communicate with each other and use their ruler Mercury effectively, theirs will be a gratifying relationship.

my husband and I are that combo and it's working most of the time.
It hasn't been easy. We have been married almost 7 years..Dec 22.
I have known him 7 years and 4 months. I haven't killed him yet lol.
It is hard though cause I want to go out and see people and stand around and talk and he hates that.
I usually go to events and a lot of parties by myself while he stays home and plays computer games. There are a few other problems but mostly we work it out.
