He's having problems with his swim bladder..

Try to keep your betta's diet balanced and not to overfilling. The swim bladder will soon correct itself and your betta will begin to swim normal again.

Similar to constipation, you can also try to fast your betta for 24-48 hours. Next, take a cooked pea and peel it. Feed a small portion of it to your betta on the end of a flat toothpick. Watch to make sure your betta is going to the bathroom, as this will mean the SBD and/or constipation is subsiding.

nicely, fist off no fish belongs in a bowl. Bettas come from very super rice patties and could by no ability be saved in a bowl. He desires a tank length of a minimum of five gallons. With a filter out. because of the fact of those merciless techniques of residing he would be sick, or additionally would have swim bladder affliction (seem it up).

swim bladder disorder. he's not sick. you're just feeding him too much. don't feed him for a day. then feed him less than you've been feeding him. you could also try feeding him a pea. take a frozen or fresh pea and soak it in warm water, peal off the shell and then give the pea "guts" to your betta. some bettas won't eat it, if your's refuses take the pea guys out.

when you feed him too much extra air gets in and makes him uneven or too much food makes his belly grow and it presses on his swim bladder making him uneven. he'll be fine, it should clear up on it's own but even if it doesn't it's not contagious and it's not hurting him, except maybe his pride. lol
