Valerian maybe.Peppermint is a stimulant so no way.

Why concentrate just on herbal tea?
Try a little warm milk(tryptophan-sleep inducer) and some carbohydrate(eg a cookie). Also a little light exercise, no TV or Internet immediately prior to bed.
Also if you want to go the tea way then think of high quality organic herbals(from health food shop) not the kind found in supermarket tea bags.
Lastly there is alcohol which puts me asleep fast. Half fill a glass with shaved ice. Add 1 oz of Kahlua then a tablespoon of cream. Stir and drink. Zzzzzzzzzzzz!

teas containging camomille and lavender promote relaxation and sleep. check out your local natural/organic store, most carry several brands of tea for specific purposes. As far as dreams, they are caused by your brain (some argue they are manifestations of thoughts in your subconcious). dreams should not be avoided, but understood. write down your dreams and then use a dream dictionary to see what the main compoenents in your dream may represent

Yes Yes Everyone here uses and loves SleepyTime tea, But some of us need more. That's why I recommend Sleepy TIme + VSOP Brandy. It will knock you out! If it doesn't just add more Brandy.

Valerian is suppose to work really good. Although it is not a tea, melatonin puts me right to sleep especially when I am traveling. Remember to make sure anything you take doesn't interact with other substances you take.

You may need melatonin. I am not aware of any tea form, I take 1 pill when I can't sleep. It usually works.
