jergens natural glow works pretty well.
most important rule: rub the self tanning lotion in ALL THE WAY. make sure its all soaked it..otherwise you will have streaks, which is unnattractive..and if you apply too much in one area..u may turn out orange (ewww)

Ok if your doing it yourself the first thing to do is exfoliate. this will help you get an even colour. if you don't do this any patches of even slightly dry skin will appear darker. next use gloves or your hands and nails will get hella stained. then about 30 before you apply the product moisturize your skin with a light lotion(nothing too heavy) this will help whatever product you use to blend better when you put it on. after that it all depends on what product your using. Aveda has a good one called SUN SOURCE. but what ever you do BLENDING is the key make sure you spread it evenly, it might even help to have a friend come over to check the areas you cant reach. Good luck !!!!! and have fun with your glow.

Piz Buin is good or Boots, having trouble applying it to my back, I got a long handled wooden kitchen spoon, wrapped a baby wipe round it held in place with a hair clasp, then applied the foam or cream with it. I found the foam product easier, dried quicker.

get two-l'oreal and boots own brand do a spray for your back-i find the sprays a bit yuk for my other bodyparts, and if you can find "geltan" on boots.com it smells nice, looks natural especially on fair skin.or try the moisturisers with hint of selftan in them too they are very reasonably priced,is one called summer skin-johnsons and dove do one each.less likely to show mistakes as they are not dark at all.
wear disposable gloves-chemists sell them cheaply.
exfoliate really well for a few days, and moisturise too,
first time you try it mix it with moisturiser and do it a few hours before you go to bed -go easy on the amount you use.....
you can then build it up to the shade you like, keep exfoliating every other day,and moisturising ,and use baby wipes to tackle streaks.
most selftans give hints for their own one on the bottle
.your skin will be so soft!

Use St Tropez, better to get someone else to do your back to be honest. If you have rinsed the product off after 6-8 hours you shouldn't get any on yours sheets. I use it and make sure I put my old bed sheets on before I hop in.

you can't reach your back?

hints to keep in mind:
no glycerine in your products
take a shower the day before tanning and shave everything that needs shaving. exfoliate well. use sugar mixed with your favorite liquid cleanser if you can't find a good one.
use moisturizer before tanning products.
if you are using a lotion tanner mix it with 1/2 lotion to apply.
apply extra moisturizer to elbows and knees and heels and fingertips.
