I don't know, but if you see one, shoot him.

The KKK are still alive and well (unfortunately) and I know of several chapters in small towns near where I live, and around a friend's old home in Indiana. There are other factions that have the same beliefs but go by different names, but the KKK as the KKK are still around.

many of them live in the Idaho area, and ZERO is wrong about how the right are KKK, i'm a republican i certainly don't condone there behavior, in Idaho and around those parts they have large festivals and get togethers, even a tv station! so yea, many of them are in the Northwestern area of the United States, and if anyone saw the history channel special that was just on about them they would know that they wore the hats to look like ghosts and scare black people, they actually are way worse now then they were back then, back then it was mostly about politics such as scaring black people into voting for who they wanted, etc

Yes they are alive and they are all over. The KKK is not as prominent as they once were but they still have cells all over the United States.

Here is the proof if you need any:

the traditional KKK, as seen in 1950s' documentaries, and the movie "Mississippi Burning" have morphed into today's Neo-Nazi and White Supremacist hate groups
another famous hate group is the well known "World Church of the Creator", run by a buch of zealout nutjobs who have the balls to call themselves "Christians"

The headquarters is in Arkansas and I know there is a chapter here in western Pennsylvania where I live, and I also know there is a chapter in Idaho but those are the only ones I personally know of, but I'm sure there is more out there.

Unfortunately they are. I recently saw a History Channel program on this very phenomenon... that they phase in and out, but always exist in one form or another.
Although often still discussed in contemporary American politics as representing the quintessential "fringe" end of the far-right spectrum, today the group only exists in the form of a number of isolated, scattered groups with a total membership numbering no more than a few thousand.

I think in Idaho there was a big group, around Bonner's Ferry? There was a big creepy compound up there with somebody Butler...the leader of one group I think. Every year there is a parade in Coeur d'Alene...all that hatred...how saw...

My horrible father claims that his father was the Grand Dragon of one of their orgs in Texas but I don't believe him. If there still are & reading by the other answers I guess there is, why cant we expose them? Are they embarrased so they wear those hats?

I have heard that they are, like somewhere in Mississippi but that's really just hearsay. But I would guess that if they are they aren't an active chapter or whatever because we haven't heard anything about them in years.

Yes they are, they're called different names now and they're scattered everywhere, forming small groups, but still they're all up for white supremacy.
