If your truck is new the brake dust will slow down some once the pads and rotors are broke in.
I'd wax the rims once a month that way the dust will not start to stain the aluminum. There are shields you can purchase, that go on between the rotor and rim, but they are usually plastic and break off.

break (v.) To cause to separate into pieces suddenly or violently; smash.

brake (n.) A device for slowing or stopping motion, as of a vehicle, especially by contact friction.

Assuming you mean brake, the noun rather than the verb you used...the best way is to clean it well and then apply a light coat of wax that will keep it from sticking.

As others have said, you can also put a shield in to keep the brake dust away from the rims, but if you do two things will happen. First, it will build up on the rotor and perhaps cause problems, secondly it will block air flow and your brakes can now run very hot, if they get hot enough things can warp and you will be replacing very expensive parts.

Go to an auto parts store like auto zone they sell covers that go behind the rims and cover the brakes preventing the dust from going on the rims, they work great!

The best solution is to switch to full ceramic brake pads. They are just about completely dust free and generally quieter than the premium semi-metalics. We supply the tire shop here with them and they put them on whenever they sell a customer a new high end set of rims.

There are shields that can be put on the backside of the rim. Requires rim removal. Also there is a spray that you apply to the rim. Helps repel the dust longer.

See your local auto parts store.

I found by using the Turtle Wax Wheel and tire cleaner that my wheels stay cleaner and the brake dust doesn't stick to them as much. I think the product has teflon in it or something like that.

People always think I clean my wheels all the time and I don't.

the best way to keep them clean I think would be to get your car washed, specifically your wheels and under chassy that way if there is dust and dirt colected any where on your car it won't build up which is what causes the dust.
