What is a modern version of Carmageddon?

I'm looking for a game similar to Carmageddon. I found Auto Assault, but that requires a monthly fee. Is there a Carm 4? Or any other recommendations?

The last release was Carmagedon TDR 2000. There is a carma 4 in development.

My favourite is still the first =)

There is a Carmageddon 4 in development, but not much info on it that's out. I haven't been playing too much driving games lately, but if you want to play an old game, you can try the Twisted Metal series, its sort of similar, except for racing and more killing.
