I was reading an article about Russia and how they kill people that speak out against their government. One porson commented on saying it's no different the the WHISTLING WEASEL GANG in the US. Has anyone heard of this? Is this real?

I think that this comment is more than likely refering to a fictional, stereotypical group of people rather than to an actual group. It could be that Whistling refers to a 'Whistleblower' or someone who alerts the authorities to a companies wrong doings and a cowardly, untrustworthy or unscrupulous person is commonly refered to as a weasel. I've never heard whistling and weasel used in the same sentence...probably because a real weasel cant whistle and a whistleblower is anything but an unscrupulous coward. it's not a very specific term/phrase and therefore leaves any attempt at definition to pure speculation. It is most likely NOT a real group.

Where did you read this? It is real. There is a gang that poisons people and follows them whistling. WHISTLING WEASEL GANG is very appropriate. There is nothing more weaselly than poisoning and their hallmark is their whistling. Perhaps if you know somebody in law enforcement they can elaborate.

Yeah, that was weird. I'm afraid I have no idea, but I saw that same comment on the messageboards of a number of news sites and it was pretty much word for word. Made me think it's something some crank made up and now he goes around posting it on messageboards.
