No speech is not only verbal.

Speech is one medium of language. The other two "mediums" or "forms" of language are writing and gestures. Gestures range from simple iconic movements, like pretending to drink, through to complex finger-spelling as in Sign Language and other sign systems.

Language is a code made up of rules that include what words mean, how to make words, how to put them together, and what word combinations are best in what situations. Speech is the form of language orally, through gestures or through writing.

Speech takes shape in the form of thoughts, gestures and words. Many things have to happen for us to express our thoughts:

The person must have a thought or idea, want or need that must be communicated to another person.
The idea must be sent to the body with instructions on which words to say or which actions needed to be taken to express this idea into words.
The brain must send signals to the muscles that produce the actions required to express our ideas.
The body parts must be co-ordinated and strong enough to create the right sounds, words or actions.
The sounds and actions must be clear enough to form words that other people can understand.
There must be another person to receive the communication and respond.

SPEECH is verbal, it means to speak to communicate ideas. Language is the different forms speech takes Language can be formal, informal or even sounds as long as a group of people agree on the sounds meaning. Communication is transmitting ideas through various means including speech.
