American culture is perpetually evolving so it's a challenge to be able to answer such a question. I feel the american culture is more than "the sum of it's parts". We come from all over the world with different ideas, beliefs, desires, and aspirations. I also feel that our incredible diversity makes as stronger than weaker. American Culture is about being a black 40yr old Brazilian born- United States citizen who had a breakfast meeting at his local Unitarian Universalist Congregation with an Italian born custodian and Austrian born custodian. Later that afternoon has lunch at a local Thai restaurant with an old jewish high school friend talking about the movie he saw this past saturday, The Queen. As I travel to north shore long island town of Port Washigton to stop and say hello to a Turkish friend who owns a Greek/Turkish restaurant.

The American culture is based on individual freedoms embodied in the first ten amendments to the constitution.
These freedoms are speach, press, gun ownership, free from unlawful search and seizure, etc.
You can read them online at several places, just type in U.S. Constitution.
It was also based on the precepts found in the Bible.
Treat others as you would want to be treated.
Respect others rights and beliefs.
Do not take anything that does not belong to you.
Help your neighbors when you have the ability to do so.
During my childhood, I could tell you every family on my block, and the names of all their kids. We often had them over to our house or went over to theirs.
For the last thirty years or so, people have come to care about no one but themselves.
That must change or we will fall like Rome fell.

The freedom of choice to choose religion, speech, food, shopping, and all the freedoms that american people enjoy and the ablity to choose how you want to live and how you do things without having a set standard as to the way it has to be, without any limits where anyone has a chance not just the ruling party or the high up officals.

Quick and to the point. You have to sell yourself in 30 seconds or no one will listen to you. You have to have accomplished something just to be recognized as a leader and you are held to higher standards by others who don't even know you. Once you are successful you can be taken right back down to unpopular in 10 seconds if you don't watch what you say or do. We are a very social group who looks for answers and acceptance in others.
