This is a very tricky area.
There are certainly mystery shopper programs out there.
However, you'll find that in paying for the 'right' to be a mystery shopper really leaves you no room for profit.
Plus, unless you have a place for the three little ones to go that leaves you completely free for shopping uninterrupted, it just won't work for you.
There are very few survey outfits that pay anything other than peanuts. You have to continually sign up for 'free offers' that aren't really free.
And, you get bombarded with all kinds of spam when you do this.
I once set up a new Yahoo account and signed up for some of these just to see what kind of email I'd get.
Within the first month, I got a few dozen legitimate emails from the firms I'd dealt with.
But I got more than 2000 spam messages in the first 30 days alone.
Generally you'll find that you can make a few bucks here or there on some of the programs, but most require you to jump through so many hoops and sign up for so many programs that they are really just a big marketing scam. I hope to make them illegal someday.
The one useful outfit I've found is Survey Outpost. They have the most relaxed terms for cashing out your survey rewards. They pay in cash and you can get it easily.
Most others that pay in cash only pay out when the balance reaches $40. They don't send you survey every day and guess what happens when you start getting close to $40? You don't get very many more surveys.
In the six months I've been signed up, I think I've earned about $10 reading emails (at .03 each), about $60 in PayPal money answering surveys and I have about $25 in my Opinion Outpost account.
A lot of hassle for not a lot of money.
Good luck.

Stay away from Cash Create and other survey Web sites!
It's a waste of time and will cause you unhappiness.
If you choose to get suckered in and sign up to take surveys and receive free trials considered you were warned. The minute you give them your credit card and personal information you have now opened your computer to unwanted cookies on your hard drive, annoying pop-up windows and if you are on a PC you open your computer to viruses that can wipe you out.

1.) Wrong category. 2.) Scam. 3.) ??? 4.) Profit!!! Edit: Yes, there is. This is the politics category. And obvious scam is obvious. If you read through the comments everyone has perfect grammar and spot-on capitalization in most cases. They're all either one person or bots used to lure in more attention, but either way it's a scam just to make the creator of it money, and leaves your pocket empty.

I work from home and I am able to spend more time with my child doing this. My web page is www.mothersfreedom.com I really love this and it gives our family extra money. It cost 29.00 to start but if you decide that this is not for you then you can stop within 90 days and get your money back. It is easy and fun to do just check it out.
Good luck

I've tried surveys, they do make you money, but not a lot. Most mystery shopping sites I've come along to were scams, but I do know that there are legit ones out there. I finally found this, though: http://www.freedomathometeam.com/LMota It's been great for my family.

You have to apply to become a mystery shopper at the websites of these market research companies. They will then contact you if they have any assignment in your area. List of companies where you can apply free and links to relevant websites available at http://tinyurl.com/n474j
