I feel as long as your basic needs of food, shelter, cothing and a retirement account are met, money should be enough. But is that ever true?
How much money is enough is a philosophical question, that man has been asking for ages. But if you twist the question around, it is not about how much money you make, but what you do with the money is what defines you as a person, and what impact you will have in this world.

Well in the script is says ...
Bud Fox: How much is enough?
Gordon Gekko: It's not a question of enough, pal. It's a zero sum game, somebody wins, somebody loses. Money itself isn't lost or made, it's simply transferred from one perception to another.
Does this aswere you question ??? else write again :)

I think enough money is when you get to the point that you are buying a 3,000 dollar dress that you will only buy one time and your every day clothes consist of a sweater made by someone that you won't find in walmart and jeans that look worn out because you bought them that way but they cost more than your years worth of phone bills put together.

In a capitalistic society, the attainment of wealth is to be encouraged and admired. It means you have developed marketable skills people are willing to pay you for. Therefore, money is a reward for achievement and in of itself, good.
When people bend the rules to attain wealth though dishonest means, it appears that money is corrupt or is a corrupting influence. It's not. These people have a weakness of character.
