a PRO death penalty idea is: The society has the right to defend itself against such kind of dangerous people, just as any person has the right to kill somebody when his own life is at stake.
Another one is the one about setting examples to other potential criminals.
an ANTI death penalty idea is that the human life is precious and it has great dignity; so NO ONE can decide any other´s death wothout commiting a crime.
Another one is that the law system is always full of flaws, so the probability tells us that, eventually, innocent people will be killed, thus commiting a more hideus crime that the one they were suposed to avoid.
well and, of course, Thou shall not kill.
