No, not at all. Your brain is very active when you sleep. Whether dream sleep or other your brain is active. Thus the two experiences are different.

I wondered that to once i once thought that if you were to die
i thought that you would go to river surronded by fire and you'd have to walk al the way down and while your walking down the river you would see everything you killed and they would try to drown you and you can't fight back but you can still resist it
but you have the sterntgh of an eight your old but your explantion is reasonable too

I personally believe that in death, our souls go to heaven, where we are reunited with our loved ones who died before, and where we live with God and our loved ones in eternal happiness.
I don't know the specifics for obvious reasons, but that is what I believe.
