Not that I've been able to tell. There are quite a few neurotic geniuses out there. There are also quite a few well-balanced geniuses out there. The same percentage that applies to a normal I.Q. probably applies to the genius population as well.
(Of course, I make no mention of the middle ground here, that have been pampered and spoiled and are veritable prima donnas, but that has nothing to do with mental illness, and everything to do with selfishness and selfcenteredness.)

Great question. We should all seek to understand others...
It would not be difficult to understand, if someone with exceptionally high intelligence developed some type of narcissistic personality disorder or some anxiety disorder.
Being different from the norm is something that some people are content with, but most people just want to blend and belong.
People want to be special, but they don't want to be judged. Being different from others can cast a spotlight on them for others to scrutinize and judge.
Depending on how stress and anxiety manifests itself, and the coping skill set that peoson knows, it could definitely cause personality disorders or psychiatric illnesses.
I think that anyone who has a characteristic or circumstance that they feel separates them from the norm, is a potential victim for any number of disorders. Yes, that includes most of us. I don't think anyone has perfect coping skills, but then again, we do the best we can with what we know.
