I also have a well and live in Rural Georgia. I use the GE Super Filtration filter (from Lowes). I put a seperate one on my kitchen sink and refrigerator ice maker just as a second stage. The GE Super Filtration filter cost $50 and the other inline ones were $25 each. Each area of the country have different filtration requirements as to what you want to keep out of your water. Some companies want to sell you ionization process filters. My first suggestion is to take a clean water sample to your county extension agent or health department and get them to test it. My main filter is to keep out sediment.

I actually have the brita pitcher because of the particular incontrovertible actuality that the tap attachment seems clunky and cumbersome for my sink section. The brita filters make the water scent and style sparkling, we've were given attractive problematical water round perfect right here. As a sidenote, the Culligan pitcher filter out refills in high quality condition the brita pitcher, each and every use charcoal filtration, and so that they cost truly a lot less to replace. they say to modify the filters each and every 6 to eight weeks although i bypass 5 or 6 thinking the actual incontrovertible actuality that i take advantage of various of water.

2 DOT HAS IT!
I PREFERRED THE WHIRLPOOL BRAND , BUT NOW BOTH HAVE A CHEESY SPRING LOADED PRESSURE RELIEF BUTTON. I HAVE FOUND THAT A 1" / 1 1/4" SUPPLY SPLIT INTO 2 - 3/4" LINES ( NOT IN SERIES ). ONE WITH SITE GLASS BOTTOM ( MORE EXPENSIVE ), THE OTHER WITHOUT ( YOU ONLY NEED TO SEE 1 DIRTY FILTER TO KNOW BOTH ARE ), I USED AN IN LINE HOSE BIB FOR PRESSURE RELIEF, & 2 - 1" GATE VALVES TO ISOLATE THE THE FILTERS AS THE BIPASS VALVE BUILT INTO THESE FILTERS GET VERY DIFFICULT TO OPERATE!

it depends on your budget, if you can afford it, get the best...an RO system, it isnt possible to buy anything better to filter water.
