Okay, people like Michael Richards are obviously racist. But people who just state the truth about a certain race don't have to be. Just because I say that many blacks speak in that ebonic accent or whatever you want to call it doesn't mean I'm a racist. Just because I say many Hispanics whether they be Mexican or not ride in cars packed together doesn't mean I'm racist. Just because I say many whites have a superior complex about their own race and don’t view minorities as equals doesn't mean I'm racist. I guess saying that most white people have light skin is racist too huh?

Sometimes the truth is simply that, whether people want to acknowledge it or not. Being defensive by throwing around the racist word doesn't make you right, it only shows your ignorance inability to accept the truth and deal with it properly. Until we acknowledge the truth, the source, and its actual meaning, only then will we be able to end racism.

Okay kharm, because I didn't include the other millions of races that might possibly speak ebonics too I'm a racist right? Quit seaching for loop holes in my statement. Our world is based on generalations, without them everything would be a mess, buisnesses would lose the proper audience to advertise to and people to relate to. This is the way things are.

Lumping people together based on race, and judging people based on race are racist.

That's what the term means.

When a lot of people are riding in a single car, they ride packed together. It has nothing to do with race.

There are useful generalizations and there are misleading generalizations (most generalizations about people are misleading, as people vary more within groups than they do between groups).

There are kinds of generalizations that have been used to justify murder and other outrageous acts, such as imputing irrelevant and arbitrary traits and behaviors to people based on their ancestry. People are especially sensitive to these for good reason.

There isn't a race-based generalization that's accurate.

I'm not Hispanic, but I've ridden crammed into cars with too many people. Not all Blacks speak Black English; not all who speak Black English are Black.

Everyone speaks the way they do for exactly the same reason -- it's the way people around them spoke when they were learning language. It's not a phenomenon unique to any one race; it's universal.

It's your assumption that the behaviors you mention have to do with race or ethnicity that makes people call them racist.

Try seeing human beings as human beings. That always works, and offends no one.

It has the added benefit of being accurate.

only black people can get away with being racist, if there was a united white college or white entertainment channel would us white people be racist? If a white person claimed they were getting discriminated by because they were white, they would be considered racist. Not all black people are bad just the sorry few that ruin it for everyone. Same with all races.

Actually you are being racist because you're generalizing. It's not just Black people that speak ebonics and it is not all Balck people whoh do. It depends more on where people live and where they grow up, rather than what color they are. Try growing up and leaving the suburbs.
