Xbox 360: Microsoft started out with the xbox having no console gaming experience and went up against the veterans Sony and Nintendo. With the Xbox 360 already out and almost having sold 10 million units, it is well on its way to dominating the market (which some japanese analysts predict it to dominate until 2011)
With microsoft having such a powerful console that is even more capable of outputting 1080p than the highly touted ps3 and for $100.00 on amazon there is no reason not to get this. Also for this console battle there will be very very few exclusives between the consoles, unreal 2k7, Asassines Creed, Grand Theft Auto IV are going to be on both the ps3 and 360. 9/10

Nintendo Wii: Nintendo is separating itself from the pack and are saying they aren't even competing with Sony and Microsoft yet are going their own route and are providing an entirely new and unique experience that has proven itself to be incredibly fun. Having the motion sensing controller opens up a whole plethora of opportunities that couldn't be done before with games. It has to be experienced to be fully realized. 9/10


Sony Playstation 3: Sony's main focus this generation was to have an "overall" more powerful system than anyone else, and they accomplished this just as the xbox did last generation. But it's not how much power your console has its how you use it to its abilities. For example Gears of War was recently released for the Xbox 360 and is literally the best looking game on anything right now. This is because the developers from Epic really took advantage of the hardware and showed a glimpse to gamers of what the 360 is capable of. But in this generation it all comes down to the games and personal preference. Would you like to play metal gear solid, killzone, and gran turismo or halo 3, gears of war, bioshock, andbv mass effect. 7.5/10

Wii - 8 (A trade-off on graphics for better gameplay, but still too many Nintendo games)

i only gave it 9.4 because i think microsoft could have done a little better in the backwards compatibility department
