Babies burp too! And, they don't know how to give thanks. So, that burp is actually gas trapped between our esophagus and stomach. It wants to get out of the mouth. Otherwise, it gets out of the other end. Ha ha ha :) :)

In some cultures a burp is a sign that the meal was delicious. Common sense tells me that one burps because of the need to expel excess gas in a now full stomach that enjoyed that meal.

Not to be harsh, but that nearly made me pee in my pants. That is disturbing. Eating a pregnant woman??? *Shudders* That is just to sick for me, sorry. I did like this part though: "Ever since mankind has looked up at the stars they have asked themselves,Whats out there and are there any other creatures in the universe like us?. Well mankind is going the regret that question. Because there are and they are called Zonians. My name is Sybella and I am a Zonian." That part is pretty good :)

It is the air you swallowed coming out, if it happens below the belt line it is called flatus, or commonly known as a fart.

Yes. When you burp, the polite thing to say is "You are welcome!"
