We shouldn't, but the devil got in there somewhere and threw santa at us, and the world accepted it.

Jesus really isn't sharing anything with santa. He was born around the time of tax collection which means that he wasn't even born in decamber because in the Roman empire they had to pay taxes around springtime. I don't know why people thought that jesus was born December 25 but according to true history he couldn't have been. And, I don't know why santa has become such an icon. People have taken the name of Chris Kringle and washed it out with some fairy tale. This man was someone who rode through his local villages in the winter time and handed out presents. From that came santa and all the baggage that is associated with his name. The true meaning behind christmas was good when it originated but now has turned into a name associated with capitalism. So it really comes down to people in general and what they are going to accept. Since it is easier to accept christmas as a holiday for presents, then the true meaning gets lost. So nobody is forced to share Jesus and santa. It is what you truly feel and decide to celebrate this holiday season. I hope that helps you some.

It all depends on the person who is celebrating Christmas.
I've heard of quite a few people who decide to emphasize Christ's birth at this time of year. I've also heard a poem where Santa is telling parents to teach their children the true meaning of Christmas. And in the poem it seems that Santa is a servant (or a messenger) of Christ, rather than the person who is being celebrated on Christmas. If you'd like that poem, I can email it to you. Just let me know.
So my answer is that you can choose whether you want "Santa" to share that day with the Savior. No, not everyone celebrates the birth of Christ on Christmas. But you can be an example to those who have lost sight of the true meaning of this holiday.

We never told our son there was a Santa. We didn't have any Santas in our home until last year (he's 16 now). I almost had a true dislike for Santa. Now I see Santa as a positive way of spreading the true reason for Christmas. The emphasis has to remain on Jesus Christ, though.

Yeah, Jesus wasn't born in December. The Roman Catholics that invaded the Celtic lands stole the ancient holidays of the Celts. They took Yule and the festival of the Winter Solstice from the natives in the British Islands and turned into a holiday for the Catholics. This was done so they could convert the natives. Yes, this a touchy subject for me because they took so much from the ancient Druids and Pagans in an effort to wipe them off the planet. They took All Hallows Eve also known as Samhain and turned it into Halloween. They took the Spring festival of Ostara and turned it into Easter. The Roman Catholics took these festivals and celebrations from the Pagans in order to force their religion upon them. It's that simple. And thats why you celebrate Christmas in December.
Blessed Yule and a Happy Winter Solstice

Well, we're not exactly celebrating Santa's birthday on Christmas Day. The whole gift thing is an interpretation of the story of the real St. Nicholas. See the attached link for more info:

Good reasoning. The merchants who don't believe in Jesus have
a very Merry Christmas as they rake in money from believers who fall into the Santa trap every year for the sake of their kids. All this music is phychological. Get people in a mellow mood and part them with their money. All that work and hustle and bustle.
The day after Christmas trees are tossed out and Chistmas is as far away as ever. Nothing left for some but a long winter with an unessesary debt and maybe a hangover.

Please read about The truth of Christmas and all the lies behind it.
The real day when Christ was born was not December 25th. He was born on September 29th. This "Christmas day" is not the real day and if you read history and go back to it. You will know so much, you'll be amazed, why don't people evolve, I suppose they choose not to.
If you care about this, Christmas and the "holiday season" is all a big scam for merchants and retailers to get their wallets fatter and deceive people, people who fall for it. It is such deceit. This is all part of pagan traditions, which are false, because Christ would not want us to be distracted, stressed out and lied to and have our attention off of the stuff we should be working on.
So that is something to think about.
Remember: If y ou seek the truth it will set you free, (when you know it) don't be a part of the crowds and the imitators, (shoppers, followers of men, their traditions and ways, which are the ways of the adversary)

There are only 365 days in a year. He's going to share a birthday with a lot of people. And I don't think Christmas is Santa's birthday, it's just the day he does his job.

The Lord Jesus doesn't care that he's sharing Dec.25th. with Santa.I believe that Santa was started to be able to give children a gift, as God gave us all a gift.....Jesus.Why try to argue a point? you believe in Jesus or you don't,you now that......Anyway Jesus said,"remember not my birth, but what I died for."
