It depends on state law and whether your state has a statute of limitations for the crimes he committed. After all this time, it may be difficult to prove, but you should still contact the police. The person may be molesting other children and it may cause the police to watch him/her more closely, resulting in an arrest.

Also, if the person has any significant assets, you may be able to bring a civil suit against him/her. The burden of proof is much lower in a civil suit. This is why all the former altar boys are suing the Catholic Church. They may not be able to get the priest convicted, but they can get money from the church.

There is usually a statute of limitations on these crimes, could be 5-10 years depending where you live. There are cases where the crime has been suppressed and just recently remembered, like if it happened when you were a child, that are allowed to go to court as if it just happened.

Depends on the charges and the state. But seriously, it is going to be very hard to prove such charges after 13 years.

IT depends on the charges.....many states have a statute of limitations....and I think(don't quote me on this) that its like 5 years for sexual aligations like rape.....however, you might be able to take him to civil court.....collect damages....I would consult a lawyer....
